Results show high confidence percentage when relating earthquake occurring events to horizontal/directional drilling activities where hydraulic fracturing and water disposal take place within the study area. Our results were not just random events occurring, but significant to the study area and elements. Dallas, San Antonio and other cities in Texas were a great example for these occurring events. Earthquake activities have increased since 2001 due to the increase of hydraulic fracturing and wastewater disposal activities during horizontal and directional drilling. Reducing hydraulic fracturing and water disposal would be the first step to avoid inducing earthquake activities in major cities. Since the oil and gas prices has decreased, hydraulic fracturing and water disposal activities has also decreased leading to less induced earthquake activities shown in the time chart listed below along with our analysis and results. This has proved our analysis to related both events to be ture. This project was meant to form a positive impact on taking serious considerations regarding reducing hydraulic fracturing and water disposal whether occurring drilling activities are locally or worldwide.
